Defibrilator First Aid training

We had first aid training the other day. One should do that more often since the guide lines changes frequently. One interesting thing is the defibrillator. I Sweden they are called Heart Starter, when in fact they are working more precisely as a  Heart Stopper. Fibrillation means that the heart have irregular contractions that does not result in a proper pumping, thus no circulation. With the defibrillator one stops the heart, and enable it to respond to the normal "bodily" impulse and resume its "normal"pumping.

Haeromdagen hade vi foersta hjaelpen traening. Det skall man goera ofta eftersom rekomendationerna foer hjaert lung raeddning aendras hela tiden. En intressant sak aer att defibrillatorn ofta kallas "Hjaert startare" i Sverige, naer i sjaelva verket den stoppar hjaertat. Fibrillering innebaer att hjaert muskeln har oregelbundna sammandragningar, som resulterar i utebliven pumproerelse saa att circulationen upphoer. Defibrillatorn stoppar hjaertat och moejliggoer en start paa dess normala kropps impuls och korrekt pumproerelse uppnaas.
