One night in Hotel Mumbai, and then down to the agents, port
immigration and customs before boarding the supply vessel that took me out to
the field. Trip should have taken 14 hours, took nearly 24 hours due to bad
weather and rough seas. A humbling, character building experience that made me
appreciate my working place much more. No shadow on the supply boat crew who
performed very well under the circumstances, very kind, polite and service
minded. Felt most sorry for the Cook who tried to cater for me while almost
impossible to stand up without holding on to something . But of course Most grateful and proud of my “Huginauts”
that once again proved their excellence under challenging conditions and
performed the perfect and safe mission of bringing their commander back to the
mother ship.
Ombord paa Hugin igen.
En Hotellnatt I Bombay. Foeljande dag, moete paa agent
skulle tagit 14 timmar tog naestan 24, p.g.a daaligt vaeder (Rock and Roll).
En oedmjukt karaktaersbyggande erfarenhet vilken fick mig
att uppskatta min arbetsplats mera. Ingen skugga paa supply baats besaettningen
