Provisions and off signers

This morning we had the supply boat alongside, bringing us fresh provisions and some spares.
After that we launched our QC-boat and transferred a few crew members to the supply boat, both from Hugin and Munin. They will be brought to Mumbai for repatriation.
Curious bird watched our provision transfer for a long time.
My guess is that it is a kind of Hawk. Think a “white necked hawk” fits the description well. Has someone got any other opinion?
Unfortunately my picture is bad and blurred.

Tomorrow, daylight our final pick up of the last nodes around, under and in between an installation and barges. Then we can call this project ended.

Finally made it onboard

One night in Hotel Mumbai, and then down to the agents, port immigration and customs before boarding the supply vessel that took me out to the field. Trip should have taken 14 hours, took nearly 24 hours due to bad weather and rough seas. A humbling, character building experience that made me appreciate my working place much more. No shadow on the supply boat crew who performed very well under the circumstances, very kind, polite and service minded. Felt most sorry for the Cook who tried to cater for me while almost impossible to stand up without holding on to something .  But of course Most grateful and proud of my “Huginauts” that once again proved their excellence under challenging conditions and performed the perfect and safe mission of bringing their commander back to the mother ship.

Ombord paa Hugin igen.

Early bird..

Waiting for the cab, more painful every time I have to leave my family. I am getting old and more sentimental I guess. Mumbai late tonight. On the plus side a shorter trip, maybe?

Home again.

Only made it to Amsterdam, then Delta representative was of the opinion that my Visa was "no good".
Now back home again, worked all day to try and get another application in asap. Failed. DHL do not deliver to an address, different courier companies take between USD 650 to USD 700 for a speedy delivery(robbery). Fought a big part of my afternoon to try and arrange a guaranteed delivery of my application for tomorrow morning, but failed...when finally taking the "postal service approach", 1745lt, I missed the deadline by 15 minutes (bummer). Last time I was supposed to join, my Visa application process delayed my joining of the vessel for 2 weeks.SOME HIGHER MIGHT DOES NOT WANT ME IN INDIA. I AM CURSED.

Lamas

Grateful for the experience of yesterday.

Rebecca, Christofer and Stinelo (Horse Vision) brought me along to transport (from Bjuv to Hällekis) their newest members of  ”their pack”. Lamas, so cuddly, cool and mellow.
I got a couple of quick shots of a few exotic animals...quality so so, in the dark stable (did not want to use the flash),
