When you have more passports than 007, and one of them constantly earning UPS/DHL points for road mileage, between embassies and consulates."
Now time for getting yet another passport again. 2 new countries Visa & work permit application "in the tube" for next leave... Also extract from "police records" so they see that I am no criminal. It is not easy to do travelling nowadays..

Nu aer det dags foer aennu ett nytt pass. Sedan ansokan om 2 nya laenders Visa, och arbets tillstaand.
Dessutom utdrag ur polis registret saa att de kan se att man inte har kriminell bakgrund. Det aer inte laett att resa nufoertiden...

Raffles Marina, Raven Explorer Shadow for Queen K

A colleague Captain Rindmyr, posted a picture of our former shared command Raven Explorer in her present service.
This brings closure to my few photo's of that experience from 2007.
Raven Explorer where originally thought of to do shallow water seismic. But during the short charter, a couple of source vessel jobs in Malaysia, it was decided that she where to be sold instead.
I understood then, that she was to be converted to a Shadow boat. A boat that navigates
(in the shadow) of the rich mans super yacht, carrying all his expensive toys. Jet skies, helicopter, submarine or what might be..
After demobilization in Loyang Offshore Supply Base, I delivered her to the new owner at Raffles Marina in Singapore, and enjoyed a few days at the marina.

En kollega  Kapten Rindmyr, la upp en "faersk"bild paa foere detta Raven Explorer som vi baada jobbat paa tidigare. Circeln aer daa sluten vad det gaeller mina foto'n fraan den tiden 2007.
Raven Explorer var fraan boerjan taenkt att byggas om till "Shallow water" seismic. Men under ett par korta "kanon baats" jobb i Malaysia, bestaemde sig bolaget foer att saelja henne. Jag fick veta att hon skulle byggas om till en "shadow baat". En baat som navigerar i skuggan av den rike mannens super jakt, innehaallande hans dyra leksaker, vattenskotrar, helikopter ubaatar, eller vad det nu kan vara. Efter demobiliseringen i Loyang Offshore Supply Base, levererade jag henne till den nya aegaren, och fick ett par dagar paa Raffles Marina I Singapore.

transfer.... same story, day after day..what a night mare..

Close Passing with Client Helicopters

Yesterday quite an intense day.
Planting around and under the FPSO, feels good to have the most critical part done for this trip.
As if that was not exciting enough. We also had a helicopter in the morning bringing client management on board for a meeting, Clients returning helicopter arrived in the afternoon, just in time for our exit the 500 mtr of the FPSO. God are on our side. A couple of days more, then pretty much up and down without any obstructions...smooth sailing.

Length estimation....

Gaardagen var mycket intensiv.
Planterade runt och under FPSO'n, det kaenns bra att ha den mest riskabla delen av denna toernen avklarad. Som om det inte var spaennande nog. Saa hade vi en helikopterlandning paa morgonen, client ledning paa besok for ett moete. Clientens hemvaendar helikopter paa eftermiddagen anlaende just som vi kommit utanfoer FPSO'n 500 meters graens. Gud aer med oss. Ett par dagar till med kaennslig navigering (under vattnet). sedan blir det mera "raka linor" upp och ner utan naagra hinder under ytan....Soendags segling.

Sometimes we were lucky and got a south America trip. On the way from Colombia(Barranquilla) 15th July 2006, some younger crew were still "high" on testosterone from a week in exotic ports.
So I thought we'd have a masculine and demanding competition(mellow them down),
namely "Macho Mucho Cojones Competition"(MMCC).

Winner awarded the prestigious MMCC Diploma for courageous combat under challenging conditions.

Hittade naagra fina bilder idag
Ibland hade vi turen att faa en Sydamerika resa. Paa vaeg fraan Colombia(Barranquilla) 15:e Juli 2006, med fartyget bemannat av testosteron stinna sjoemaen, efter en vecka i exotiska hamnar.
Taenkte jag att vi kunde ordna en maskulin taevling foer att daempa yrseln lite.
Med Spanskan faersk i sinnet fick det bli, "Macho Mucho Cojones Competition"(MMCC)

Taevlings moment saa som,

" Kast med bloet mopp"

Winnare tilldelades det prestige fyllda MMCC Diplomet, foer modigt stridande under kraevande foerhaallanden.

Rain Offshore

It has been a very rainy period, these two first week of my trip.
Swell has subsided a bit, but the clearer calmer day's that I was expecting are few and far apart.
I am hoping that my next swing in December will be nicer, but my wish could be "smothered" by The "Harmattan" season starting end of November. A dry, dusty trade wind from Sahara, bringing sand and maybe smaller insects out for my "biologically insectified" photo safari. Hoping for a clearer weekend so we could have a BBQ and give the guy's well deserved break.  

Det har varit mycket regnande dessa tvaa foersta veckorna. Dyningen har lagt sig naagot, men de klara fina sommardagarna som jag foervaentade mig har uteblivit. Hoppas att min naesta "ute" period i December blir baettre, men min foerhoppning kan grusas av "Harmattan" som startar i slutet av November. En torr, dammig Oekenvind fraan Sahara som baer med sig sand och kanske mindre insekter ut hit till min fortsatta "biologinsektiska" foto safari. Hoppas nu naermast paa en fin och klar helg saa att besaettningen kan faa den grill fest som de saa vael foertjaenar.
