Tomorrow Sign off 1200lt,
Will spend 12 hours in the pool area Radisson Blu(Cairo) before the flight to Istanbul. After 3 hours my final leg to Gothenburg. Life is good.

Skall spendera 12 timmar runt  poolen paa Radisson Blu(Cairo) innan flyget till Istanbul avgaar.
Efter 3 timmar daer saa blir det sista flyget till Goeteborg. Livet aer gott.

Defibrilator First Aid training

We had first aid training the other day. One should do that more often since the guide lines changes frequently. One interesting thing is the defibrillator. I Sweden they are called Heart Starter, when in fact they are working more precisely as a  Heart Stopper. Fibrillation means that the heart have irregular contractions that does not result in a proper pumping, thus no circulation. With the defibrillator one stops the heart, and enable it to respond to the normal "bodily" impulse and resume its "normal"pumping.

Defibrillator Foersta Hjaelpen traening.
Haeromdagen hade vi foersta hjaelpen traening. Det skall man goera ofta eftersom rekomendationerna foer hjaert lung raeddning aendras hela tiden. En intressant sak aer att defibrillatorn ofta kallas "Hjaert startare" i Sverige, naer i sjaelva verket den stoppar hjaertat. Fibrillering innebaer att hjaert muskeln har oregelbundna sammandragningar, som resulterar i utebliven pumproerelse saa att circulationen upphoer. Defibrillatorn stoppar hjaertat och moejliggoer en start paa dess normala kropps impuls och korrekt pumproerelse uppnaas.

Properly Anchored Suez

Still in Suez, We will know in a couple of days, if, when and where we are going.

No problem for us. Weather is excellent, and a lot of traffic, so ship scouting is high on

the agenda. Amazing how many vessels passing here in 24 hour period.

Big income for the Egyptians.

Fortvarande i Suez. Vi faar om naagra dagar reda paa om, naer och vart vi skall ta vaegen.

Det gaar ingen noed paa oss. Vaedret aer fantastiskt. Det aer ocksaa mycket trafik, saa fartygs scouting staar hoegt paa agendan. Enastaaende hur maanga fartyg som passerar haer under 24 timmar.  Stor inkomst foer Egyptierna.

Egyptian Navy Inspection

This morning a police siren caught my attention. Looking outside I saw a navy boat
moving around our vessel. He clearly wanted to board us as he was preparing his fenders.
I sent down the OOW, to greet the boarding party, and show them to the bridge.
It turns out they where looking for refugees from the airport, four persons were astray. The officer was very correct and politely requested a mustering of all crew, so he could compare Passports and faces.
During that time he sent a search party around the vessel to have a little look. It was all over in 40 minutes and then they left again. Nice pieces of weaponry on his boat. Would be perfect on Hugin Explorer, one on each bridge wing. 

Fortvarande till ankars i Port Suez.
I morse avbroets mitt arbete av ljudet fraan en polis siren. Naer jag tittade ut saag jag en militaer baat som roerde sig runt oss. Han hade tydligt foer avsikt att borda oss eftersom han foerberedde fendrar paa sin BB sida. Jag skickade ner vakthavande styrman foer att moeta och foera upp bordnings saelskapet till bryggan. Det visade sig att de letade efter fyra flyktingar fraan flygplatsen. Befaelet var korrekt och begaerde artigt att faa genomfoera en moenstring av samtliga ombord, jaemfoera passen med alla ansikten. Under tiden saa paagick en "laettare" genomsoekning av fartyget. Det hela tog ungefaer 40 minuter, sedan gav de sig ivaeg. Praktfull bevaepning paa hans skuta. De skulle passa utmaerkt paa Hugin Explorer, en pjaes paa vardera brygg vinge.

Cruelty to animals Gracia Del Mar

A vessel arrived today which, I clearly saw was filled with animals. When I Googl'd,  it gave a very sad result. Please check the link out below. Looked like Camels and dromedars this time, appalling and cynical handling of animals to feed us humans. Shame on us.

 The vessel rolled +/- 5 degrees in this calm weather

 Would not like to be a cow on open deck cross the Atlantic.

Saag ett boskaps fartyg anlaenda till Suez idag paa morgonen. Jag Googlade och fick ett mycket sorgligt resultat. Klicka paa laenken ovan och se den avskyvaerda, cyniska behandlingen av djur i syfte att foeda oss maenniskor. Tyckte det saag ut som kameler och dromedarer ombord denna gaangen.. Vi borde skaemmas.
