Hot Christmas & Pirate hot spot 2012

A few pictures from the first week onboard.
Afrika being 30 degrees warm and seas calm. For most of us it is work as normal, but the galley staff really provided us with an excellent variety for the Christmas buffe'.  
A few weeks more to complete this survey, then off to deeper water(as if 1800m is not deep enough) to avoid being attacked, before heading to another country for mobilization. Increase of attacks now around Christmas. Calm sea makes it easier for the pirates. Day before yesterday they attacked a vessel two hours away from here. Kidnapped 4 crew(Captain incl.[gulp..]). A few days earlier 5 more crew were kidnapped from another attacked vessel. Gulf of Aden has calmed down, Pirate hot spot is now West Africa, Gulf of Guinea. Trusting "the installation" is on the ball. Surveilance and protection weize

30 grader varmt och inga boeljor. Foer de flesta av oss aer det arbete som vanligt, men koeks personalen skapade och erbjoed en excellent jul buffe'. Naagra veckor kvar till detta projekt aer avslutat, sedan styr vi kosan ut emot djupare vatten(som om 1800mtr inte aer djupt nog) foer att undvika att bli attackerade. Sedan styr vi emot ett annat land foer att mobilisera infoer naesta project.
En oekning av attackerna nu runt juletid. Blankt vatten goer det enkelt foer piraterna. I foerrgaar blev ett fartyg attackerat 2 timmar fraan oss, 4 man kidnappade, includerat skepparn[svaelj]. Naagra dagar tidigare tog dom 5 man, efter att ha attackerat ett annat fartyg. I  Aden bukten har har pirat verksamheten avstannat. Pirate "Hot Spot" aer nu Vaest Africa  Guinea gulfen. Litar paa att "installationen" har koll paa laeget. Underaettelse och skydds maessigt.

Down Size Buddhisminize

Downsize Buddhisminize
After a few weeks of chaos...Christmas feeling finally catching up. Winter weather off course the biggest contributor. My leave has just "swished by" what happened? Feels like I got home a week ago. 
 Blessed with managing the bulk "shifting" of  our belongings from our former house 300 m2 to our new life 100 m2 before the snow arrived in plenty. Nice to know that our new life is starting. A lot on the "dump" and a lot sold on internet. Down sizing is a cleansing thing. Dropping out of the "rat race".
Time to start living. Renting a house instead of owning. Property is a weight and burdon, that I do not want to put on my childrens shoulders. If it is cross borders, internationally the problems are very much more complicated, paperwork, notarius, registrations and fees. Nope...renting, and put away a small saving that is easilly collected by the kids at the time of my demise, no hazzle.
Travelling to warm Africa on Tuesday morning, compleeting our present project and mobilizing for the next. Also in a very warm and cozy country on a diferent continent...

Småskalig Buddhistifiering

Efter veckor av kaos, har äntligen jul känslan infunnit sig. Vinter vädret bidrar å det väldigaste.
Min ledighet har bara swishat förbi, vad var det som hände. Känns som om jag kom hem i förra veckan. Välsignad med avslut på "bulk flytten" från vårt förra 300 m2 hus, till vårt nya liv i 100 m2 innan snön kom med råge. Skönt att vårt nya liv har börjat, mycket skit till tippen, och mycket sålt på internet. Nedskalning ger en renande kännsla, lämnar nu ekorrhjulet.
Dags att börja leva, hyra hus istället för att äga. Egendom blir lätt en tung börda som jag inte vill lägga på mina barns skuldror. Om egendomen är internationell blir det mera komplicerat, pappersarbete, registrering och notarius publicus, avgifter etc... Nix, hyra boende,och sätta undan ett litet sparande som enkelt kan utkvitteras vid min hädanfärd, inga problem.
Reser till Afrika på Tisdag morgon(tidigt). Skall avsluta nuvarande projekt och mobilisera (förbereda) det komande, vilket också blir på en annan kontinent med mycket behagligt klimat.
